Tourism revenue in Cyprus reached almost €3 billion in 2023, a 22.6% increase compared to 2022, according to the Statistical Service.

In December 2023 alone, tourism revenue reached €74.3 million, compared to €57.6 million in December 2022, an increase of 29%. For the whole of 2023, the tourism sector generated €2.99 billion in revenue, €0.56 billion or 22.6% more than in 2022.

The average tourist spent €600.79 in December 2023, compared to €523.42 in December 2022, an increase of 14.8%.

The British, Polish and Greeks were the most frequent visitors to Cyprus, accounting for 23.4%, 11.5% and 10.3% of all tourists in December 2023 respectively.
